We Are The Minutemen is the mod of Fallout 4 that adds an alternative for rebuilding the Commonwealth. Have a look at the contents below and decide whether you like this mod or not.
All Discussions. I have overcome this by using the mod 'The Red Wave' which can take me to island locations outside of Far Harbor without treading on the beginning of the main Far Harbor questline. But WHY is not the BOS radiant quests restricted to the Commonwealth at LEAST until the Far Harbor quest has begun?
The Minutemen is the best alternative for rebuilding the commonwealth for a reason: More settlements mean More resources, better materials, and better firepower. The quests for Minuteman include:
- Earlier in the game, I was able to have 3 or 4 Minutemen radiant quests running concurrently (once I activated Radio Freedom), but now I'm level 63, and I am only getting one at a time - once I report success to the settler, I can get another (I don't have to wait until I've reported back to Preston), but they seem to only be alternating.
- Radiant quests replaced by proper RPG content. posted in Fallout 4 Mod Requests: hey there guys, Ive looked through all the quest mods on Nexus but most of them dont look like they really belong in the game. The best ones Ive seen so far are NVIDIAs Vault 1080 which was okay, and Tales of the Commonwealth which is the best so far. But even Tales of the Commonwealths quests were mostly.
- Find the Minutemen Quest ID in the list that appears (use page up/pg down to find the quest ID) Then type: player.sqs quest ID It'll now list ALL the stages for that radiant quest ID. One of the rare times where a quest stage actually repeats i.e. You might see a ton of 'stage 100' shown as either active or completed.
Main Minutemen quests:
- Preston will only ask you to retake the Castle when you reached the player level 20. Finishing the radiant quest and the castle quest will appear.
- Now it take 24 hours to cool down quests.
Radiant Minutemen Quests:
- The chance of quests start has been reduced
- The maximum of simultaneous quests will reduce from 3 to 1
- The cool-down period is now 96 hours
Flaregun quest:
- Increasing Flaregun range
- Minutemen called by flaregun will follow you for a while
- Follow you inside the building and in fast travel
Random Minutemen Patrols quest
- Increase the chance encountering Minutemen Patrol

It’s the mod we’ve all been waiting for. Finally, at long last, Preston Garvey just chills out.
If you’ve played Fallout 4, you’ve certainly dealt with Preston’s nagging about settlements that need your help. So you go and kill off some ghouls, return home, and boom. Another settlement needs your help. This is so prevalent in-game, it’s practically the new ‘arrow to the knee’. We covered Preston’s best Settlement Memes here, so go check them out if you’re not in the loop.

Fallout 4 Radiant Quest Mod
The mod is called Disable Minuteman Radiant Quests. A very apt name, since that’s all it does. The mod author was apparently tired of Preston’s shit, hence the mods description:
Fallout 4 Radiant Quests Mod 1.7.10
Have you ever wanted to travel across the Commonwealth and not have Preston breath down your neck about helping every settlement in the game three times a day from the same raider camp that was bothering them an hour ago? Well have I got the mod for you.
Fallout New Vegas Radiant Quests Mod
Fear not however, you can still get the easy XP from settlement quests. You just have to go to the settlements themselves to get the quest. Much less annoying than being told about it every time you’re just trying to upgrade some weapons.
It also makes talking to Preston much more enjoyable, since he’s not all gung ho about saving the entire wasteland all the time. When he just chills out a bit, he’s actually a pretty cool guy.
