I am using a Mac Pro 4,1 with a standard NVIDIA GeForce GT 120. Now I would like to upgrade to the ATI Radeon HD 5770 or a better card. Question 1: How many slots does this card use? All pictures of the card show two slots, but I would hate to loose one slot, because all are used by controllers. Question 2: With what other cards could I upgrade?

I recently bought and installed the 5770 and it does not work. From what I read it would work in my Mac Pro 2,1. All I get is a lite up blank screen. The 5870 was what I really wanted to try but it wasn't available at the time. If 5770 won't work is there any chance the 5870 will. Or is there something I could try to get the 5770 to work.
